Splendid renovated 13-hectare farmhouse
18th-century farmhouse, formerly known as Quinta de Cima de Seteais, located opposite the Palais de Seteais, belonging to the Quinta of the same name.
It is set in a 13-hectare plot of land that extends as far as the Pena Palace, a Unesco World Heritage site. Still marked in the middle of the forest, the paths served as a link between the Palais de Pena, the Palais de Seteais and the center of Sintra village.
The newly built house, designed by architect Tiago Bradell, respects the classic features and romantic lines of Sintra's cottages. The exterior of the house is finished with double brick masonry walls with capoto exterior cladding, the floor is clad in stone and solid wood, some ceilings are lined with plasterboard and the ceiling height has an average height of 2.95m.
The house, with a construction area of 872.81 square meters and a site area of 443.70 square meters, has two floors and a basement. The first floor features a large hall, a living room, a library, a dining room, a kitchen, a laundry room, a shared bathroom, three suites with bathrooms, closets and direct access to the garden.
The living room features a stone fireplace and large west-facing windows overlooking the garden.
The top floor is entirely occupied by the master suite, with a dressing room, terrace and lounge. The first floor is occupied by a large garage with space for 10 vehicles, a multi-purpose room that could be used as a cinema or gym, a security room and the technical area.
The whole house is served by an elevator. Throughout the house, small interior patios bring light and invite you to sit and read a book. Heating is provided by an electric heat pump for domestic hot water and underfloor heating.
La Quinta is a five-minute walk from the historic center of Sintra, 30 minutes from Cascais and several international colleges, and 40 minutes from Lisbon International Airport.
Sintra has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995, mainly for its exceptional concentration of architectural and natural heritage and for its lush vegetation.
Currently, this Quinta, thanks to its historical context and landscaped surroundings, continues to enchant visitors and contribute to Sintra's cultural heritage
